“Our primary use of LogLogic at Cerner is to obviously retain the data, and if there’s an incident that occurs, we use that data for forensic analysis. So it’s purely…I guess the main function of LogLogic is the security focus. But we also use it for troubleshooting, if there’s something that’s not working correctly our staff might pull some logs or reports or real-time views to analyze and determine what the problem is and correct that problem. So we use it both as a compliance tool, a forensic tool and as a troubleshooting tool.

“If Cerner did not have LogLogic, we’d have a hard time finding an alternate solution to satisfy our logging needs. I don’t think there’s anything in the market right now that would be able to cover our requirements. Our requirements are vast and varied because we’re a data center environment. And I really don’t think that there’s any solution out there that would cover our needs at this time.”
